Shivna River bends
The river loops around the town in a series of curves, giving the map an organic edge that contrasts with the regular fields of the plateau.

Mandsaur Map Poster & Print
Mandsaur sits on the Malwa plateau in north-western Madhya Pradesh, close to the border with Rajasthan. The Shivna River winds past the town, and its bends are the clearest natural line on the map. The older part of town is a compact knot of lanes, while newer neighbourhoods and roads spread out more loosely across the level country around it.
On the bank of the Shivna stands the Pashupatinath temple, known for its large multi-faced Shiva linga and visited by pilgrims from across the region. Nearby, at Sondhni, stand the sixth-century victory pillars of King Yashodharman. The district is also well known as one of India's licensed opium poppy growing areas, so fields press close to the edges of town.
A Mandsaur map poster brings together the river, the dense old centre and the railway line that runs north toward Rajasthan. Printed in black and white, the meandering Shivna gives the composition a soft curve that balances the straighter lines of roads and track.

Riverside temple
The Pashupatinath temple sits directly on the Shivna, one of the best-known places in Mandsaur and an easy point to find on the finished print.
Railway through Malwa
A railway line crosses the town on its way north toward Rajasthan, a long straight stroke that helps anchor the composition.
