Marcory Map Poster & Print
Marcory is one of the communes of Abidjan, lying on the southern shore of the Ébrié Lagoon, across the water from the business district of the Plateau. Its map is shaped by the lagoon on several sides: bays and inlets cut into the land, and the shoreline bends around small peninsulas that give the commune an irregular, almost jigsaw-like outline.
Inside that outline, residential quarters follow regular grids, with a mix of older housing, busy market streets and more spacious villas near the water. The area known as Zone 4, part of the commune, has become one of Abidjan's favoured districts for restaurants, shops and expatriate life, and its streets form a neat pattern along the lagoon edge.
Bridges tie Marcory to the rest of the city, including the Henri Konan Bédié Bridge, a toll crossing that reaches the commune from Riviera on the northern shore. A Marcory map poster works as a portrait of Abidjan at its most watery, where streets, lagoon and crossings all carry equal weight.

Lagoon bridges
Long crossings, including the Henri Konan Bédié Bridge, span the water toward the northern shore and stand out as bold straight lines.

People who have lived in Abidjan, whether they grew up in Marcory, worked in Zone 4 or crossed its bridges each morning, recognise this map instantly. It makes a considered gift for someone leaving the city or returning to it.
Write a name, a date or a short phrase in French in the title and subtitle, and choose from five styles. Noir gives the lagoon depth, while Classic black and white or Paper keep the composition light and precise.
