Mawang Map Poster & Print
Mawang lies in the hilly southeastern part of Chongqing, in a region of steep ridges, narrow valleys and terraced slopes. From above, the settlement follows the shape of the land. Its streets and buildings sit along a valley floor, and roads wind through the surrounding hills.
In terrain like this, the map is shaped more by landform than by planning. Roads bend with the contours, houses cluster wherever the ground levels out, and small streams and fields fill the gaps between ridges. The result is an organic, linear pattern that looks very different from a lowland grid.
A Mawang map poster keeps the focus on that interplay between settlement and mountain. It is a quiet, personal image, suited to people from the town and to families with roots in the hills of southeastern Chongqing.

Winding mountain roads
Roads curve and switch back through the hills, forming loose, looping lines that stand out on the page.
Ridges and slopes
Steep, forested ridges surround the town, leaving it as a narrow band of detail within a quieter mountain landscape.
