Molave Map Poster & Print
Molave is a municipality in Zamboanga del Sur, on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines. It lies inland, away from the coast, in farming country of rice paddies, coconut groves and rolling uplands. The town takes its name from the molave, a hardwood tree long prized across the Philippines for building.
On a map the town centre is a compact grid of streets around the poblacion, the civic core with its municipal buildings, church and market. The main highway runs through, and smaller roads branch off toward barangays scattered across the countryside. Streams and irrigation channels draw faint lines between the paddies, which surround the town in a patchwork of fields.
A Molave map poster sets the ordered centre against the looser farm landscape around it, a pattern shared by many Mindanao towns but different in every detail. In black and white, the roads become the main structure and the fields become quiet space. For people from Molave living in Manila or overseas, it is a direct link back.

Through road
A main highway passes through the town, with branch roads heading off to outlying barangays among the fields and the hillside farms beyond.
Rice-growing surroundings
Paddies and irrigation channels fill the low ground around Molave, framed by gentle hills. On the map they appear as open, finely divided land.
