Stanitsa lattice
Long, straight streets and wide blocks form a regular grid. This layout is typical of Cossack settlements in the south of Russia and very clear when seen from above.

Nezlobnaya Map Poster & Print
Nezlobnaya is a stanitsa, a traditional Cossack settlement, in Stavropol Krai in the south of Russia. It lies on the open plain north of the resort towns of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region, close to Georgiyevsk. The land here is farmland, and the settlement's scale reflects agriculture rather than industry.
Like many stanitsas in the North Caucasus, it is laid out on a broad, regular pattern. Long parallel streets are crossed by shorter lanes, forming large blocks. Each house has a deep garden plot behind it. From above, the result is an open lattice spread over a wide area, with fields right up to its edges.
A Nezlobnaya map poster shows this spacious, orderly plan clearly. The streets are straight, the blocks generous, and the surrounding farmland is marked by field boundaries and country roads. In monochrome, the rural plan has a graphic simplicity that fits a modern interior as well as a family home.

Deep garden plots
Behind the houses, long private plots fill the blocks. Much of the map is garden and orchard rather than buildings, which gives it an open texture.
Farmland edge
At its limits the stanitsa meets open agricultural land. The street grid gives way to large field shapes and a few long country roads.
