Ridge-top roads
The main routes tend to keep to higher ground and bend with the hills. On the poster they read as long, deliberate curves rather than the straight lines of a planned town.

Ntungamo Map Poster & Print
Ntungamo sits in the rolling uplands of Uganda's Western Region, not far from the border with Rwanda. From above, the town does not spread across a flat plain. It follows the land, with its main roads running along ridges and dropping into the valleys between hills. The centre is compact and the outer lanes soon loosen into scattered homesteads and cultivated plots.
This is Ankole country, long associated with cattle-keeping and hillside farming, and the landscape around the town shows it. The map shows a network of minor tracks branching from the main road, tracing contours rather than a grid. In black and white, the pattern looks almost organic, like veins across a leaf, with the town as the densest knot where the lines meet.
A Ntungamo map poster keeps that relationship between settlement and terrain in view. The trunk road that carries traffic through the region gives the composition a clear spine, and the smaller paths pull the eye outward into the hills. It is a quiet, rural map, and its character comes from how closely the town fits the ground beneath it.

Compact town centre
Commercial streets cluster tightly where the through road passes, forming the one dense patch of blocks in an otherwise open, spread-out composition.
Branching rural tracks
Beyond the centre, fine lines fan out to farms and villages, giving the edges of the map a delicate, hand-drawn texture.
