Central grid
Straight streets form an even colonial grid around the main square. The regularity makes the plan easy to read and gives the print a firm structure.

Ocotlán de Morelos Map Poster & Print
Ocotlán de Morelos lies in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, south of the state capital along the highway toward the coast. The town follows the colonial grid typical of the region, with straight streets meeting at right angles around a central square. Fields and mountains are visible beyond its last blocks.
Its best-known building is the church and former convent of Santo Domingo. It was restored with the support of the painter Rodolfo Morales, who was born in Ocotlán and later set up a cultural foundation here. The town's Friday market draws traders from surrounding villages, and local potters are known for their painted clay figures.
An Ocotlán de Morelos map poster shows the classic Mexican town plan at its clearest. The central plaza anchors the grid, and the highway runs past on its way south. At the edges, the grid gives way to farmland and scattered homes across the broad valley floor.

Santo Domingo convent
The church and former convent occupy a large block near the centre. The restored complex is the town's main landmark and a visible mass on the map.
Valley setting
Beyond the grid, the map opens onto the wide Central Valleys, with fields, roads and small settlements scattered toward the surrounding mountains.
