Ourolândia Map Poster & Print
Ourolândia is in the interior of Bahia, in the semi-arid country north of the Chapada Diamantina. On a map, the town is a small, compact cluster. Its short streets form a grid that stops abruptly, and around it lies a wide landscape of scrub, farm tracks and scattered settlements.
Most of the plan is made of simple rectangular blocks. Streets run mostly at right angles, with a main road passing through that links the town to its neighbours. Past the last houses, the lines thin out quickly into single roads and tracks that head off across the dry terrain.
The municipality is known in Brazil for stone quarrying, especially the beige marble extracted in the area. An Ourolândia map poster shows a town defined by that contrast: a dense little grid set against an open backcountry that fills the rest of the frame.
