Irrigation network
Narrow canals and ditches thread through the town and its surroundings, drawing parallel lines that divide gardens and fields and give the whole map its steady, woven rhythm.

Oyim Map Poster & Print
Oyim lies in the eastern part of the Fergana Valley, in Uzbekistan's Andijan Region, where one of Central Asia's most densely settled farming landscapes stretches between mountain ranges. From above, the town reads less as a single centre than as a network: lanes bordered by gardens, courtyard houses set in long plots, and the thin, regular lines of irrigation channels that carry water across the valley floor.
That water is the key to the drawing. The Fergana Valley has been irrigated for centuries, and on a map the canals give the land its structure, splitting fields into strips and guiding the roads that follow their banks. In black and white the pattern becomes almost textile, with fine repeated lines broken now and then by a wider road or a cluster of denser blocks.
An Oyim map poster keeps this fabric intact without adding labels that would crowd it. The result is quiet and detailed, a portrait of a place shaped by agriculture and by the mountains that enclose the valley on three sides. It suits someone with family roots in Andijan Region, or anyone drawn to the geometry of irrigated land seen from high above.

Garden plots
Houses in the Fergana Valley often sit within long plots with orchards and vegetable beds, which appear on the map as elongated blocks lined up side by side along the lanes.
Valley floor
The land here is broad and level, a basin enclosed by distant ranges, so roads can run long and straight between settlements across the cultivated plain.
