Batang Arau
The river winds through the old port quarter, lined with warehouses and moorings, before reaching the sea near a steep green hill at the southern edge of the centre.

Padang Map Poster & Print
Padang runs along the western coast of Sumatra, and its map is a long strip between the Indian Ocean and the hills of the Barisan range. Several rivers cross the city on their way to the sea, and the street pattern shifts with them. The coastline is mostly straight and open, broken by river mouths and a small headland in the south.
The old port lies along the Batang Arau river, where warehouses from the colonial trading era still line the banks. A bridge crosses the river mouth near a hill rising beside the sea. Padang is the capital of West Sumatra and a centre of Minangkabau culture, and its cooking is known and served throughout Indonesia.
A Padang map poster captures a coastal city stretched between water and highland, its streets threading between rivers and roads running parallel to the shore. The ocean forms a clean edge along one side. It is a map of a city that looks out to sea and back toward the mountains.

Indian Ocean coast
A long, straight shoreline defines the entire western edge of the city, leaving a clean line between dense streets and open ocean on the map.
Barisan foothills
Forested hills rise to the east and south, limiting how far the city can spread inland and giving the map a natural, uneven boundary.
