Pakisaji Map Poster & Print
Pakisaji is a district in Malang Regency, East Java, just south of the city of Malang. It sits on the broad upland basin that surrounds the city, a fertile area ringed by volcanoes, and it combines growing residential neighbourhoods with fields of rice and sugarcane, small industries and the villages that have long made up the district.
From above, the main road running south from Malang forms the spine of the district, with houses, shops and mosques gathered along it. Behind this ribbon of buildings, lanes branch into the surrounding villages, and the pattern opens out into rectangular fields, irrigation channels and clusters of settlement separated by farmland, a characteristic landscape of rural East Java.
Mount Kawi rises to the west and the Semeru massif lies further to the east, although both stand beyond the frame. A Pakisaji map poster focuses on the everyday geography closer to home: the road, the villages, the lines of water and fields. It is a fitting keepsake for residents and for those who grew up in the area and moved away.

Villages among fields
Settlements appear as compact clusters separated by open farmland, a pattern that gives the poster a rhythm of dense and open areas.
Irrigation lines
Channels and field boundaries divide the farmland into orderly plots, adding a fine, regular texture to the parts of the map between the villages.
