Pangkalpinang Map Poster & Print
Pangkalpinang sits on the eastern side of Bangka Island, a short distance from the coast, and its map is shaped by low ground and water. A river winds through the city toward the sea, and streets spread outward from an older centre in a loose, irregular pattern. At the edges, roads fan out across the island toward mining areas, plantations and smaller towns.
The city is the capital of the Bangka Belitung Islands province, created in 2000 when it separated from South Sumatra. For centuries Bangka's economy has been bound up with tin, and Pangkalpinang grew as an administrative town for the mining industry; a tin museum in the city tells that story. Many residents have Chinese ancestry, reflecting generations of miners and traders.
A Pangkalpinang map poster shows a compact provincial capital held between river and coast, with the street pattern softening into irregular patches toward the outskirts. The clean black lines make its structure easy to read: the central blocks, the winding river, the roads reaching out across the island. It is a modest city, and the map treats it with the same care as any other.

Old centre
The central district has the densest pattern of short streets, where the town's commercial life and oldest buildings are concentrated.
Roads across Bangka
Main roads leave the city in several directions, linking it with the rest of the island and giving the poster a clear, branching structure beyond the centre.

For people from Bangka working in Jakarta or elsewhere, Pangkalpinang is the reference point of home. A map of the town, with its river and branching roads, is a restrained way to keep that connection visible without turning it into a souvenir.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, so the poster can carry a family name, a hometown or an anniversary. Choose from five styles and download six print sizes as PNG and PDF files for $9, or order it printed.
