Town grid
The centre is a dense block of streets in a fairly regular layout. It reads as a solid, well-defined shape in the middle of the plain.

Partinico Map Poster & Print
Partinico is in the province of Palermo, on a plain that slopes down toward the Gulf of Castellammare. Mountains rise behind the town and vineyards and olive groves spread out in front. The area has long been known for its wine and farm produce.
The town is also known for Danilo Dolci, the social activist who worked here in the 1950s and 1960s, campaigning with local people for work, water and non-violent reform. On the map, Partinico has a dense centre of streets set in a fairly regular pattern, with main roads toward Palermo and the coast.
A Partinico map poster frames the compact town in its farm landscape: fine field and vineyard boundaries, the hill slopes behind and the long roads heading for the sea. It is a Sicilian map with a clear sense of the land.

Vineyard plain
Vineyards and olive groves cover the gently sloping land around town. They make a fine, delicate field texture on the print.
Mountain backdrop
Hills and mountains rise behind the town. Their slopes cut off the settlement abruptly and mark the edge of the cultivated plain.

Partinico is a family name for many Sicilian emigrants in the Americas and Australia. A map of the town is a restrained way to honour where they came from. It also suits anyone who knows Dolci's story.
Add a surname, an emigration year or the coordinates of a family house, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes both metric and inch sizes.
