The river border
The Uruguay River is broad here, and on the map it forms a strong dark band separating the Argentine town from Uruguaiana on the Brazilian side.

Paso de los Libres Map Poster & Print
Paso de los Libres lies on the western bank of the Uruguay River in the province of Corrientes. Directly across the water is the Brazilian city of Uruguaiana. On a map the town is a clear rectangular grid of Spanish colonial type, with evenly sized blocks and plazas, running up to the edge of the river.
The two cities are linked by the Agustín P. Justo–Getúlio Vargas International Bridge, which carries road and rail traffic and is one of the busiest land crossings between Argentina and Brazil. Much of the town's life has grown around that border trade, with the approach roads to the bridge forming a strong line on the plan.
A Paso de los Libres map poster shows two countries in one frame. The wide river runs down the middle, the Argentine grid lies on one side, Brazil on the other, and the bridge stitches them together. It is an unusually clear picture of a border that people cross every day.

International bridge
A long bridge carries road and rail over the water, the only direct link between the two cities and the focus of local traffic.
Colonial-style grid
Square blocks and regularly spaced plazas give the town a precise, repeating pattern that holds its shape right up to the riverbank.

Border towns shape the people who grow up in them, with two languages and two currencies close at hand. A map that shows both banks and the bridge between them makes a thoughtful gift for anyone whose life runs across that river.
You can title the poster in Spanish or Portuguese, add a date or a short subtitle, and edit the coordinates. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand each give the river and the grid a different weight.
