Crossroads centre
The town grows out from the meeting of its principal roads. This gives the map a clear central point from which streets spread outwards.

Pélézi Map Poster & Print
Pélézi is a town in the Haut-Sassandra region of central-western Ivory Coast. The land here lies between the forest zone to the south and the more open country to the north. It is farming territory, and the town serves as a local centre for the surrounding villages.
From above, Pélézi is laid out along its main roads, with blocks of housing on either side and lanes running off into the edges of cultivated land. Nothing is monumental. The interest lies in how the settlement spreads out from its crossroads and how quickly it gives way to fields and tracks.
A Pélézi map poster is a personal object above all. It is meant for someone from the town, or with family there, who wants a clean and dignified image of home. Reducing the map to line and space gives even a small town a clear, recognisable character.

Low-rise blocks
Housing forms loose blocks on both sides of the main roads. The street pattern gradually becomes less regular towards the edges.
Rural tracks
Beyond the built area, thin paths and dirt roads reach towards fields and villages. They soften the outer edges of the poster.
