Pottuvil Map Poster & Print
Pottuvil lies on the east coast of Sri Lanka, in Ampara District, where the coastal road runs between the Indian Ocean and a series of lagoons. On a map, the town is framed by water: a long sandy shoreline to the east and a lagoon lined with mangroves on its inland side.
The town itself is a network of streets around a main road running roughly north to south along the coast. Short lanes branch toward the beach and toward paddy fields inland. The shape is long and narrow, following the strip of dry land between sea and lagoon.
Just to the south lies Arugam Bay, known internationally as one of the best surfing spots in Asia. A Pottuvil map poster can show both, the town and the curve of the bay, a stretch of coast familiar to local families and to travellers who come for the waves.

Pottuvil lagoon
The lagoon on the landward side, fringed with mangroves, adds an irregular body of water that shapes the western edge of town.
Road to Arugam Bay
The coastal road leaves town heading south across a bridge toward Arugam Bay, connecting two places often mentioned together.

Pottuvil is home to many families and a favourite stop for surfers on the east coast. A map of the coast is a good reminder of a season spent there, with a name, a date, or the coordinates of a favourite break in the title.
Blueprint suits the lagoon and ocean, and Sand echoes the beaches. Classic black and white, Noir and Paper are also available, with a free watermarked preview to compare them first.
