Pyapon Map Poster & Print
Pyapon lies in the lower Ayeyarwady delta, on the river that shares its name. The land here is almost perfectly flat and threaded with creeks and tidal channels, and the town sits along the water with streets laid out close to the riverbank.
The region is known for rice cultivation and fishing, both tied to the delta's waterways. In 2008, Pyapon and the surrounding area were among the places most severely affected by Cyclone Nargis, one of the most destructive storms in Myanmar's recorded history. The town has since been rebuilt.
A Pyapon map poster is shaped by water above all. The river forms a broad, curving line, smaller channels branch across the land, and the town's streets sit along the banks. The effect is a map that feels closely connected to its setting, with land and water sharing the sheet.

Delta channels
Creeks and tidal channels branch across the surrounding land, creating a delicate network of water lines across the poster.
Riverside streets
The town's streets are laid out close to the river, forming a compact area that follows the line of the water.
