Quijingue Map Poster & Print
Quijingue lies in the north-east of Bahia, in the semi-arid interior known as the sertão. The landscape is caatinga scrub, low hills and riverbeds that fill only in the rainy season. On the map, the town is a small, well-defined cluster of streets in a very open setting.
The street plan is simple and regular. A main square sits at the centre, and blocks extend outward along the roads to neighbouring municipalities. At the edges the pattern loosens into scattered houses and rural lanes, and the thin lines of unpaved tracks run off toward farms and small communities across the municipality.
Life here is shaped by the climate, and raising goats and cattle and small-scale farming are common across the region. A Quijingue map poster reduces the town to its essentials, the grid, the square and the roads out of town. It leaves the surrounding space empty, much as the sertão itself feels when you arrive.

Roads to the sertão
Several roads leave Quijingue in different directions, connecting it with neighbouring towns and giving the composition a simple, star-like structure.
Rural tracks
Beyond the last blocks, narrow unpaved roads wander across the caatinga toward farms and villages, adding faint, irregular lines to the edges.

Many people from the interior of Bahia now live in Salvador, São Paulo or elsewhere, and a map of their hometown is a small, lasting link to it. Quijingue's simple plan makes for a clean, balanced poster.
You can write your own title and subtitle, add a date or family name, and edit the coordinates line. All five styles are included, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, with $9 HD files or a printed poster as options.
