Radolfzell Map Poster & Print
Radolfzell lies on the Untersee, the western part of Lake Constance, where the shore bends around a sheltered bay known as the Zeller See. The old town sits right on the water, with the railway line running along the lake front, and newer districts spread up the gentle slopes behind it.
Just east of the centre, the long, narrow Mettnau peninsula stretches into the lake, much of it a nature reserve with reed beds and a spa park at its base. The minster of Our Lady rises over the old town, and across the water lies the Höri peninsula, a landscape associated with painters and writers of the twentieth century.
A Radolfzell map poster is shaped above all by its shoreline. The curve of the bay, the finger of the Mettnau and the compact historic core make an elegant composition in which the lake itself becomes a large, calm field. It is a gentle, balanced map with a strong sense of place.

Lakefront old town
The historic centre sits close to the water around the minster, a dense cluster of streets bordered by the shore and the railway.
Zeller See bay
The sheltered bay of the Untersee fills a large part of the map, giving the print a wide area of water that frames the town.

Radolfzell is a favourite for those who live around Lake Constance, spent summers sailing on the Untersee or took a cure at the Mettnau. Its shoreline makes a map that is both recognisable and beautiful on a wall.
