Saaxo is a settlement in the Mudug region of central Somalia, in the dry interior away from the Indian Ocean coast. On a map it appears as a small, concentrated cluster of streets and compounds sitting in wide, open terrain, with tracks and roads leading outward toward neighbouring towns and grazing areas.
