River Irwell loops
The river winds along Salford's eastern edge in broad curves, drawing a graceful, irregular border with Manchester across the top of the poster.

Salford Map Poster & Print
Salford sits directly west of Manchester, separated from it by the River Irwell, which bends in wide loops along the boundary. From above, the river forms a clear, winding line between the two cities, while further west the Manchester Ship Canal opens into the rectangular basins of Salford Quays.
The former docks have been transformed into MediaCityUK, home to broadcasters, along with The Lowry arts centre named after the painter L. S. Lowry, who lived and worked in the area. The University of Salford and Peel Park lie beside a loop of the Irwell to the north of the centre.
A Salford map poster brings together water, industry and renewal. The meandering river, the straight edges of the old docks and the dense terraced streets further out make a composition that is both historic and modern.

Salford holds meaning for graduates, media workers, football fans and families who have lived in its terraces for generations. The mix of river curves and dock geometry makes for a striking wall map.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the canal and quays, recalling the area's engineering heritage.
