San Ignacio de Sabaneta Map Poster & Print
San Ignacio de Sabaneta, often simply called Sabaneta, is the capital of Santiago Rodríguez province in the northwest of the Dominican Republic. The province takes its name from Santiago Rodríguez, a leader of the Restoration War of the 1860s. The town lies in hilly country at the northern edge of the Cordillera Central, not far from the border with Haiti.
On a map, Sabaneta shows the orderly street plan common to Dominican provincial towns, with a regular grid of blocks at its centre that softens at the edges where it meets the terrain. Streams and small valleys cut through the surroundings, and roads leave town along the lower ground toward the Cibao lowlands and neighbouring communities.
A San Ignacio de Sabaneta map poster brings together that regular core and the more irregular landscape around it. It suits people from the province living in Santiago, Santo Domingo or abroad who want a clear, uncluttered image of home to hang in a new place, as well as those who still live there.

Foothill setting
The town sits in rolling country at the edge of the Cordillera Central, so the roads and streets on the outskirts begin to bend with the terrain.
Streams and valleys
Small watercourses and valleys run through the surrounding land, adding soft natural lines that contrast with the straight streets of the town centre.

Many people carry Sabaneta with them after leaving for larger cities. A map of its streets, from the central blocks to the roads out of town, is a calm way to keep that connection visible at home.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a family name, a neighbourhood or a special date, and adjust the coordinates line. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and choose between the $9 digital files and a printed poster on matte paper.
