Sardasht Map Poster & Print
Sardasht lies in the southwest of West Azerbaijan province, in Iran's Kurdish region, close to the border with Iraq. From above, the town fills a valley among the Zagros mountains, with streets fitting around the slopes and roads winding in from the surrounding hills. Forests of oak cover much of the landscape nearby, unusual for the region.
The town is known for the landscape around it and for Kurdish culture. It is also remembered as the site of a chemical weapons attack in 1987, during the Iran–Iraq war, which left many victims and has made the town a focus of remembrance. Today it serves as a regional centre for the mountain villages around it.
A Sardasht map poster traces a town shaped by its valley. The streets are dense in the middle and thin out towards the slopes, and roads snake into the mountains in several directions. The result is an organic, contour-driven composition that suits the minimalist style well.

Zagros forests
Oak woodland covers the mountains around the town, making this corner of Iran greener than most and framing the map with open space.
Mountain roads
Roads leave the valley in winding lines towards nearby villages and the border area, following the folds of the land.
