Sestri Levante Map Poster & Print
Sestri Levante has one of the clearest shapes on the Italian Riviera. The historic centre sits on a narrow isthmus joining the mainland to a rocky, wooded promontory. On either side lies a bay, so the old town has water on both flanks. Behind it the modern town fills a small coastal plain before the Ligurian hills rise steeply.
The two bays are named the Bay of Silence and the Bay of Fables. The second name is linked to Hans Christian Andersen, who is said to have stayed here. The Bay of Silence, small and sheltered with colourful houses along its beach, is one of the best-known views in Liguria.
A Sestri Levante map poster makes the isthmus the centrepiece. Two curved shorelines pinch the streets into a narrow band, the promontory stretches out into open sea, and the town fans out behind. It is a rare case where the whole story of a place can be read in its outline.

Bay of Silence
The small, sheltered bay on the south side is lined with houses right up to the sand, a well-known Ligurian view.
The promontory
A rocky, wooded headland rises beyond the isthmus, its paths and green mass extending into the sea as the map's anchor point.
