Sidhi is a district headquarters in eastern Madhya Pradesh, India, in a region of plateaus, low hills and forest. The Son River flows through the wider district, and the countryside is a mix of fields, streams, ponds and woodland. The town is the local administrative and commercial centre, and roads lead out from it in several directions.
On the map, Sidhi is compact. The centre has a denser pattern of market streets and older lanes, while government buildings, schools and newer residential areas extend along the main roads. Beyond them, the streets quickly give way to village paths and field boundaries, and the landscape opens up.
