Kapuas–Melawi confluence
Two major rivers meet at the heart of town. Their wide channels split the built-up area into separate banks and form the most memorable shape on the poster.

Sintang Map Poster & Print
Sintang lies deep in the interior of West Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo, where the Melawi River flows into the Kapuas, the longest river in Indonesia. The town grew on the land around this confluence, and from above the rivers dominate the map. Streets run parallel to the banks, bridges link the separate quarters, and forested land begins beyond the last houses.
Sintang was historically the seat of a Malay sultanate, and river trade shaped its growth for centuries. It remains the administrative centre of Sintang Regency and a hub for the upper Kapuas basin. To the east stands Bukit Kelam, a massive granite dome that rises abruptly from the plain and is one of the best-known landmarks of the region.
A Sintang map poster puts the confluence at its centre. The broad curves of the Kapuas and the narrower Melawi divide the town into distinct parts, and the street network follows their banks in long, gentle arcs. It is a map shaped by water, fitting for a place where rivers served as highways long before roads arrived.

Riverbank streets
Roads and neighbourhoods run parallel to the water, so the street pattern bends with the rivers rather than following a grid.
Bridges across the water
Road bridges connect the different quarters of Sintang across the rivers. They appear as short, bold lines that stitch the town together.

For people from the upper Kapuas, or anyone who has worked and travelled along Borneo's rivers, this map carries a strong sense of place. The confluence gives it a natural focal point that works well above a desk or in a hallway.
Set the title and subtitle to a family name, a date or a short phrase, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir makes the rivers especially striking.
