Tatkon Map Poster & Print
Tatkon is a town in the Sagaing Region of north-western Myanmar, a large area of river valleys, forested ranges and scattered settlements. From above, the town is modest in scale: a limited network of streets with houses and plots arranged along them, and roads and tracks leading out into the surrounding countryside. The landscape dominates the map rather than the built-up area.
Much of this part of Sagaing Region is rural, and life revolves around farming, local markets and the rivers that serve as routes through the landscape. Fields occupy the flatter ground, while the hills are largely wooded. Settlements such as Tatkon act as small local centres, connecting villages across a wide territory where distances are long and roads are few.
A Tatkon map poster renders this sparse setting in fine, open lines. The streets of the town form a small cluster, and the roads leading away from it stretch across a largely empty page. In black and white, the design is calm and minimal, suited to people with a personal connection to the town who want a simple, honest picture of home.

Outlying tracks
Roads and tracks lead away from the town to surrounding villages, drawing long, thin lines across the landscape of northern Sagaing.
Rural landscape
Fields on the flatter ground and forested hills beyond give the map a spacious, uncluttered quality, typical of this part of Myanmar.

For people from Tatkon living elsewhere in Myanmar or abroad, a map of the town is a way to keep its streets and surroundings close. The minimal design suits a quiet corner of a home and carries meaning without needing explanation.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a few words in your own language. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand gives the open landscape a gentle warmth.
