Winding approaches
The roads into town follow the hills rather than cut across them, producing looping lines that give the composition movement.

Télimélé Map Poster & Print
Télimélé is the capital of a prefecture in the Kindia region of Guinea, in hilly country on the western side of the Fouta Djallon highlands. The terrain is uneven, and on a map that shows in the roads, which curve and switch direction to follow ridges and valleys rather than run in straight lines.
The town itself is compact, with a centre of connected streets and quarters spreading along the main routes. Streams cut through the surrounding land, and the countryside beyond the town is a mix of farmland, woodland and small settlements joined by narrow tracks.
A Télimélé map poster shows how the land shapes a town: an organic knot of streets, roads bending with the terrain, and a surrounding landscape that stays largely open. It is a quiet, honest portrait of a regional centre in West Africa, with meaning for anyone from the prefecture.

Compact centre
The heart of the town is a small, dense cluster of streets from which quarters extend outward along the main routes.
Upland streams
Small watercourses run through the valleys around the town, adding thin, irregular lines to the open landscape at the edges.
