Foothill estates
Housing developments follow the contours in looping streets and terraces, giving the map a layered, almost topographic quality as the ground rises eastward.

Ulu Kelang Map Poster & Print
Ulu Kelang lies on the north-eastern fringe of the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area, where the flat city begins to rise into the foothills of the Titiwangsa range. On a map, this shows as a band of housing estates with curving streets and cul-de-sacs, pressed against a darker, emptier zone of forested hills to the east.
The road pattern responds to the slopes. Estates are laid out in loops and terraces, while larger roads, including the Middle Ring Road 2, carry traffic along the valley toward the city. Streams and reservoirs add small patches of water, and the edge between suburb and forest is sharp and irregular.
The area is known as the home of Zoo Negara, Malaysia’s national zoo, whose grounds appear as a large green-framed space among the neighbourhoods. An Ulu Kelang map poster shows a suburb shaped by hills, one of the places where Kuala Lumpur meets the forest.

Zoo Negara
The national zoo occupies a broad open parcel within the district, a clear area of paths and enclosures that breaks up the surrounding residential pattern.
Ring road corridor
The Middle Ring Road 2 sweeps through the area, a strong curved line connecting Ulu Kelang with the rest of the Klang Valley.

Ulu Kelang is a place people live in rather than visit briefly, so a map of it tends to mean something personal: a first home, a childhood street, a family house on the hillside. It also shows the unusual meeting of city and forest clearly.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with an address or a moving-in date. Choose from five styles and download HD files for $9, or order a matte print shipped from partners in more than 30 countries.
