Central Line railway
The railway crosses the map as a long, confident line, the historic link between the Indian Ocean coast and Lake Tanganyika that the town grew beside.

Urambo Map Poster & Print
Urambo sits in the Tabora region of western Tanzania, in the wide miombo woodland country of the central plateau. The town grew along the Central Line, the railway that runs from Dar es Salaam towards Kigoma on Lake Tanganyika, and that line still gives the map its firmest stroke. Around it, a loose grid of streets gives way quickly to farm plots and bush.
The name carries history. In the nineteenth century this area was the base of Mirambo, the Nyamwezi leader whose power reached across the caravan routes of the interior. Later, Urambo became one of the sites of the colonial-era groundnut scheme, and today it is better known for tobacco, which shapes the patchwork of fields around the town.
An Urambo map poster shows this quiet layering: the straight railway, the market roads that meet near the station, and the wide open ground beyond. In a minimalist black-and-white print, the empty spaces matter as much as the lines, giving a real sense of how a small plateau town sits within a very large landscape.

Station quarter
Streets thicken where roads meet the railway, forming the small commercial heart of the town before the grid loosens into residential plots and farmland.
Tobacco country
Outside town, tracks run between fields and woodland, and the sparse pattern of paths gives the poster its wide, open character.
