Vikramasingapuram Map Poster & Print
Vikramasingapuram lies in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, on the Tamirabarani river where it leaves the Western Ghats and enters the plain. On the map, the town is a close grid of streets near the river, with paddy fields and channels on the flat land and steep hills rising to the west.
The town grew around a large textile mill, long run by Madura Coats, which drew workers and shaped its layout. Nearby Papanasam, with its temple and waterfalls, is a well-known pilgrimage site, and the dams and forests further up the valley are part of the same landscape.
A Vikramasingapuram map poster shows this meeting of mountains, river and plain. Mill housing and town streets lie close together, irrigation channels cross the fields, and the contours of the Ghats give the western edge a completely different texture from the rest of the print.

Mill town streets
Streets associated with the textile mill form a compact, orderly area, showing how industry shaped the town's layout.
Western Ghats foothills
To the west, the land rises steeply into the Ghats, and roads twisting up towards Papanasam give the print a strong, irregular edge.
