Railway spine
A railway line cuts through the area in a long, straight stroke. It is the clearest structural line on the poster and anchors the whole composition.

Wāris Alīganj Map Poster & Print
Wāris Alīganj is in Nawada district in southern Bihar, on the wide, level plains south of the Ganges. From above, the town has a compact centre of narrow lanes and closely packed buildings, while a railway line crosses the area as a long, straight stroke. Roads leave the centre in several directions and quickly pass into open agricultural land dotted with villages.
The landscape around the town is intensively farmed, and field boundaries, small tanks and village clusters make up most of the surrounding map. There is little relief, so the lines stay straight and regular. The railway has long been important to the town, linking it with the rest of the region, and on a map it acts as the main organising feature.
A Wāris Alīganj map poster shows a North Indian market town as it actually is: a dense core, a railway spine and farmland in every direction. It is a simple, honest composition, and for people from the town or the surrounding villages it is a meaningful piece of home.

Compact centre
The town's core is made up of narrow lanes and tightly packed plots. It prints as a dark, finely detailed cluster at the heart of the map.
Open plains
Around the town, flat farmland stretches out with small villages and field tracks. It gives the edges of the poster a light, spacious feel.
