Main routes from the surrounding districts meet at the town, and on the poster their lines lead the eye straight to the centre.

Were Īlu Map Poster & Print
Were Īlu is a town in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia, in the high country of the northern highlands. At this altitude the land is broken by ridges and valleys, and the town occupies a relatively level stretch where roads can meet. Around it, farmland and grazing ground extend in every direction.
On a map the settlement is small and concentrated. A handful of main routes arrive from the surrounding countryside and converge on the centre, where a denser pattern of short streets and compounds forms. Beyond that core the lines thin quickly, and tracks and footpaths take over as the town gives way to fields.
A Were Īlu map poster captures that clear transition from town to open country. The central cluster sits like a knot in the middle of the sheet, with roads running outward toward other highland towns. It is a spare, honest image of a place defined by the landscape around it.

Compact centre
The built-up area is tightly grouped, so the core reads as a small, dense patch of streets against much larger areas of open ground.
Highland setting
Were Īlu stands in the Ethiopian highlands, and the thin rural tracks radiating from the town hint at the farmland and ridges beyond the edge of the map.
