Irrigated fields
Fields are divided by canals and roads into regular plots. From above, they form a clear, grid-like pattern around the settlement.

Wudalike Map Poster & Print
Wudalike lies in the south of Xinjiang, in the oasis country at the western edge of the Tarim Basin, near the Yarkand River. From above, the map is shaped by irrigation: straight roads and canals divide the land into fields, and the settlement sits within a green patchwork surrounded by desert.
Oasis farming here depends on water from rivers fed by the surrounding mountains, channelled across the flat land to cultivate crops and orchards. Roads are often lined with trees, and villages spread out along them. The town forms a denser cluster within this larger agricultural network.
A Wudalike map poster shows a landscape of geometric order in an arid setting. Regular field divisions, long straight roads and irrigation channels create strong lines, while the settlement itself adds a concentration of detail. In black and white, it becomes a crisp, almost architectural pattern.

Tree-lined roads
Long straight roads connect villages across the oasis. On the map, they are the main lines tying the landscape together.
Oasis edge
Beyond the farmland lies the desert of the Tarim Basin. The contrast between cultivated land and emptiness shapes the composition.

A Wudalike poster is for people with roots in this part of Xinjiang or those who have travelled the oases of the old Silk Road routes. Its geometry makes a surprisingly modern print.
