Linear settlement
Homes follow the roads in long strips, a common pattern on the Cambodian plain, and on the map they form a slim, stretched-out figure.

Yeang Map Poster & Print
Yeang lies in Siem Reap province in northwestern Cambodia, northwest of the provincial capital, on the flat plain that stretches north of the Tonle Sap lake. From above, this is a country of level ground and big horizons, where roads run long and straight and the settlements along them look like thin ribbons.
In a black and white rendering the difference between built and open land is very clear. The streets of Yeang make a narrow, lightly branching shape, and around them lies the large, quiet space of the countryside. The plain is so flat that nearly nothing bends the roads, and the pattern reads calm and linear.
The province is known around the world for the temples of Angkor, but a Yeang map poster tells a quieter story about everyday Cambodia. It shows a community in its real setting, with the roads that join it to neighbouring villages and, further off, to Siem Reap itself.

Flat lowland
The land north of the Tonle Sap is almost level, so roads can run straight for long distances and the composition stays open and orderly.
Rural space
Most of the frame is open countryside, which puts the few streets of the community at the centre of a very spare, minimal print.

A map of Yeang suits anyone with roots in the area or memories of time spent in Siem Reap province beyond the temple circuit. It is a restrained, personal print that honours a real place without trying to make it grand.
Every poster can carry your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or date, and a coordinates line. Pick from five styles, from Classic black & white to warm Sand, and download 300 DPI files or order a printed and framed copy.
