Yinma lies in Shandong province in eastern China, on the broad, level land that stretches across much of the province's interior. From above, the landscape around it is defined by agriculture: rectangular fields, long straight roads and small settlements scattered at regular intervals, with the town itself forming a denser patch of streets within that pattern.
Because the terrain is flat, the road network follows practical lines rather than contours.
