Bārah Map Poster & Print
Bārah is a town in North Kordofan, Sudan, northeast of El Obeid. It stands on the broad, mostly flat plains of central Sudan, where sandy soils and seasonal rains shape the landscape. From above the town is a compact cluster of streets and compounds, with tracks leading out across open ground in several directions.
Life around Bārah is closely tied to farming and herding on the surrounding land, and the town serves as a local centre for the area. Its position on routes across Kordofan has long connected it to larger towns in the region. On the map this shows as roads converging from the open plains.
A Bārah map poster reflects this simplicity: a settled core surrounded by a wide expanse, with a few lines of travel crossing it. Without rivers or coastlines, the town's own pattern carries the design. It is a quiet, spare image suited to minimalist black and white.

Kordofan plains
Wide, flat, semi-arid land surrounds the town, leaving generous blank space that gives the poster a calm, open feel.
Converging tracks
Roads and tracks approach from across the plain and meet in the town, drawing long lines that link the centre to the frame's edges.
