Baraki Barak Map Poster & Print
Baraki Barak lies in Logar province, south of Kabul, in a wide agricultural valley framed by mountain ridges. From above the town looks loose and low. Its roads link compounds, orchards and fields rather than forming a tight urban core, and the lines of irrigation and cultivation shape much of the surrounding map.
The Logar valley has long been farming country, fed by water running down from the surrounding highlands. At poster scale Baraki Barak reads as a scattered settlement pattern: roads connect clusters of buildings, with open ground between them. A Baraki Barak map poster shows that rural geometry instead of a dense city grid.
The town is the administrative centre of its district, a local hub for trade and services for the villages around it. The mountains rising at the valley edges give the composition a natural boundary. In monochrome, the contrast between the cultivated floor and the bare slopes gives the map its character.

Scattered compounds
Buildings group into separate clusters rather than a single dense centre. On the map this gives a dotted, open texture that is quite different from a European town plan.
Mountain margins
Ridges close the valley on its sides. Their open, mostly unmapped surfaces frame the settled ground in the middle of the poster.
