Field grid
Rectangular fields and straight farm lanes surround the town on all sides, forming an almost geometric background that gives the poster a calm, even rhythm.

Beimeng Map Poster & Print
Beimeng is a town in Shandong province, set in the wide farming plain that covers much of the region between the hills of the peninsula and the interior. From above it appears as a compact settlement with a clear main street and blocks of low buildings, surrounded by a rectangular pattern of fields that extends in every direction.
The rural grid is the most striking thing about its map. Straight lanes divide the land into long strips, villages sit at fairly regular intervals, and small watercourses cut across at angles. In black and white the fields read as a fine texture, and the denser streets of the town stand out clearly against it.
At the edges of the built-up area, newer blocks meet the fields, showing where the town has grown beyond its older core. A Beimeng map poster records that meeting of village structure and more recent growth. Places like this change quickly, and the pattern is worth keeping on paper as it looks today.

Town core
The centre is a tight cluster of streets along the main road. It is the densest part of the map and the natural place for the poster's focus.
Surrounding villages
Smaller villages appear as separate knots of buildings across the plain, linked by lanes, showing the rural network that surrounds the town.
