Bönen Map Poster & Print
Bönen lies on the eastern edge of the Ruhr, in the Unna district. From above, it is a spread-out community of residential streets, older village cores and larger commercial areas. There is no single dense centre. Fields and small woods separate the parts of the settlement, and the land is almost entirely flat.
Coal mining shaped the town for much of the twentieth century. The former Königsborn colliery site, with its preserved headframe, remains a local landmark and is now used for culture and recreation. Today, Bönen's location near major motorway routes has brought large logistics centres, whose big rectangular footprints are clearly visible from above.
A Bönen map poster captures that post-industrial landscape: modest housing streets, open ground and the bold straight lines of roads and depots. It is a map that tells the story of a region in transition. Classic or Blueprint suit it well.

Logistics blocks
Large warehouse and distribution buildings form big, clean rectangles near the main roads. They show how the local economy has changed since mining ended.
Scattered centres
Older village cores and later housing areas sit apart from one another, linked by roads across open fields. The layout is loose rather than concentric.
