The Ravi river
The Ravi flows below the town in a strong curve. Bridges cross it, and the river gives the poster its lowest and most fluid line.

Chamba Map Poster & Print
Chamba lies in the west of Himachal Pradesh, on the right bank of the Ravi river, at the mouth of a steep Himalayan valley. The town is built on terraces above the water. From above, its streets climb in switchbacks and terraces, packed between the river below and the mountainsides above, which gives the map an unusual vertical layering.
At the centre is the Chaugan, a long open meadow used for public gatherings and the annual Minjar fair. Chamba was the capital of a princely state founded more than a thousand years ago, and the stone temples of the Lakshmi Narayan complex date from that long history. The town is also known for Chamba rumal embroidery and its miniature painting tradition.
A Chamba map poster captures a town shaped entirely by its setting: the curve of the Ravi, streets stepping up the slope and the open rectangle of the Chaugan in the middle. It is a distinctive mountain map that feels both intimate and dramatic.

The Chaugan
This long, open meadow at the centre of Chamba stands out as a clear blank shape among the dense streets, marking the town's traditional gathering place.
Terraced streets
Roads and lanes wind up the hillside in switchbacks and terraces, producing a layered pattern typical of Himalayan towns and very striking in black and white.

Travellers who came for the temples or the Minjar fair, trekkers heading into the mountains and families with roots in Chamba will all recognise this distinctive shape. It works well as a statement piece.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a trip date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the mountain setting a gentle, old-print feel.
