Chindumbo Map Poster & Print
Chindumbo is a place in the interior of Benguela Province in Angola, inland from the Atlantic coast, where the land rises towards the central highlands. From above, the built-up area is modest and loosely arranged. Streets and tracks connect clusters of homes, and the settlement fades gradually into the surrounding countryside rather than ending at a sharp edge.
Mapping of places like this is often still being filled in, so the poster reflects what is recorded: the main roads, the smaller paths between them, and the pattern of homes and plots along them. That makes the design sparse and open, with plenty of negative space and a few strong lines crossing it.
A Chindumbo map poster is less about landmarks than about belonging. For people from the area or with family there, even a few roads and the rough outline of a neighbourhood carry real meaning. In black and white, the sparse layout becomes a calm, abstract composition, and a personal title turns it into something unmistakably yours.

Open landscape
Wide areas of countryside surround the settlement, leaving generous space around the streets and a quiet, minimal look.

For people with roots in Benguela Province, a map of home is valuable precisely because such places rarely appear on posters. It is a simple, dignified way to mark where a family comes from.
Write your own title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or the name locals use, and edit the coordinates line. Choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the open landscape.
