Old village core
The historic centre keeps the irregular, curving streets of a Hessian village. On the poster it forms a dense, slightly organic knot at the middle of the map.

Dietzenbach Map Poster & Print
Dietzenbach lies in southern Hesse, a short distance south-east of Frankfurt am Main, and is the administrative seat of the district of Offenbach. For most of its history it was a small village. It grew rapidly in the decades after the Second World War, and that growth is plain to see on a map, where different building eras sit side by side.
At the centre, the irregular lanes of the old village core curve around the church and the older houses. Around them spread later residential quarters with longer, straighter streets, larger blocks and cul-de-sacs, along with commercial areas on the outskirts. Fields and woodland close in on several sides, as they do around many Rhine-Main towns set between forest and farmland.
A Dietzenbach map poster shows these layers as they are. The tight knot of the historic centre, the looser geometry of the newer districts and the green margins of the town are all drawn with the same care. The map reads as a portrait of how a village became a town within a single lifetime.

Post-war quarters
Residential districts built as the town expanded have longer streets and larger blocks. They give the map a clear contrast between old and new ways of laying out a town.
Forest margins
Woodland and fields surround the town. They leave calm open areas at the edges of the poster and show where the built-up area ends and the Rhine-Main countryside begins.
