Dolný Kubín Map Poster & Print
Dolný Kubín lies in northern Slovakia, in the Orava region, on the banks of the Orava River. From above, the town follows the river valley, with the older centre close to the water, newer housing estates climbing the slopes and bridges connecting the two banks. Wooded hills close in on all sides.
The town is closely associated with the poet Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav, who lived and worked there, and it hosts Hviezdoslavov Kubín, a long-running festival of recitation. Orava Castle, one of the best-known castles in Slovakia, stands a short distance up the valley.
A Dolný Kubín map poster shows how the town fits into its valley. The river forms the central line, the streets follow its bends, and the hills around it leave clear, open space on the page. The result is a map with a natural, balanced structure.

Hillside estates
Housing estates climb the slopes above the river, their curved roads and blocks forming a different texture from the older centre.
Wooded hills
Forested ridges surround the valley, leaving open, quiet areas around the edges of the map.
