Collegiate church core
The old town clusters tightly around the Stiftskirche, associated in local tradition with Widukind, forming the densest knot of streets on the whole map.

Enger Map Poster & Print
Enger belongs to the Herford district in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, in the rolling countryside known as the Ravensberger Land. From above, it is not one compact settlement but a central town with several outlying districts, joined by country roads that run between fields, small woods and farmsteads.
The historic core is small and closely built, gathered around the collegiate church. It is here that tradition places the grave of Widukind, the Saxon leader who resisted Charlemagne, and the town keeps a museum devoted to him. Around this centre, residential streets spread outward in a mix of older lanes and later housing.
An Enger map poster shows a landscape typical of this part of Westphalia: a dense heart, a web of minor roads, and settlement that thins gradually into agricultural land. In black and white, the pattern of fields and scattered houses reads as a fine texture around the town's firmer centre.

Outlying districts
Separate villages belonging to Enger sit apart from the centre, each with its own small street pattern, linked by roads that cross open farmland.
Ravensberg countryside
Between the settlements, a dense mesh of lanes and farm tracks covers the rolling land, giving the poster a finely drawn, almost woven background.
