Compound blocks
Family compounds form small, closely packed blocks, creating a fine, detailed texture across the whole map when drawn in black and white.

Faji Kunda Map Poster & Print
Faji Kunda is part of the Kanifing urban area, the densest stretch of settlement in The Gambia, lying inland from the Atlantic coast and the capital, Banjul. Its map is made of compound blocks, the walled family plots that shape most Gambian neighbourhoods, arranged along a network of lanes and a few main paved roads.
The pattern is roughly gridded but irregular in detail, having grown outward over time rather than being planned all at once. Boundaries with neighbouring communities blur into one continuous urban fabric, so the map reads as part of a larger whole.
The area is residential in character, with markets, mosques and schools spread through the blocks. A Faji Kunda map poster shows a neighbourhood at street level, a place defined by its lanes and compounds rather than by monuments, and a good choice for anyone with family ties to the area.

Main paved roads
A few larger roads cross the district and connect it with the rest of the Kanifing area, standing out clearly against the narrower lanes.
Continuous urban fabric
The district merges with surrounding communities without sharp edges, so the map shows one small part of a wider, closely built urban area.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Faji Kunda is home for many Gambian families, including many who now live in Europe or the United States. A map of the streets keeps that place close, with space for a family name, a compound name, or a date in the title.
Sand and Paper give the map a warm look, while Classic black and white keeps it crisp and graphic. Noir and Blueprint offer darker or more technical versions, and you can check each one with a free preview.
