Henrietta is a town just south of Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The Genesee River runs along its western side, and its gentle bends contrast with the straighter lines of the town. From above, Henrietta is suburban in structure: arterial roads laid out almost on a grid, with cul-de-sac neighbourhoods tucked between them and some open farmland still visible toward the south.
Interstate 390 runs north to south through the town, and the New York State Thruway crosses its southern part, so the map is framed by large interchanges. Henrietta's best-known feature is the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology. Its brick buildings, parking fields and campus loops occupy a large, distinctive area in the western part of town.
Jefferson Road, the main commercial corridor, runs east to west with retail centres along it.
