Rail and road corridors
Long, straight rail and road alignments cut across the map. They set the framework that the town's smaller lanes and neighbourhoods have grown around.

Jalda Map Poster & Print
Jalda is in the Sundargarh district of northern Odisha, close to the industrial city of Rourkela. The countryside here is a mix of low wooded hills, farmland and river channels. From above, the town appears as a loose settlement where residential lanes, open plots and service roads meet the larger infrastructure of the region.
Rail tracks and main roads are the strongest lines on the map. They tie Jalda to Rourkela's steel industry and to the wider network of eastern India. Between them, smaller streets form irregular neighbourhoods rather than a planned grid. Patches of greenery and water show up in the gaps between built-up areas.
A Jalda map poster records a place most maps show only as a label near a bigger city. Seen on its own, the town has its own fabric of lanes and crossings, with the curve of a railway line and water and wooded land close by. The result is a quiet, specific portrait of a working town.

Irregular neighbourhoods
Residential areas form an organic network of lanes and small plots. They look quite different from the geometric layouts of planned industrial townships in the region.
Green surroundings
Wooded hills, fields and water channels frame the town. They leave wide open spaces that balance the denser streets at the centre.
