Labutta Map Poster & Print
Labutta lies in the lower Ayeyarwady delta, close to where Myanmar's great river system breaks into many channels before reaching the Andaman Sea. The land here is almost perfectly flat, and on a map that flatness shows up as water everywhere: broad rivers, narrow creeks and drainage channels threading between fields and settlements.
The town itself is compact, with a modest network of streets set beside a waterway, and roads leading out across the rice country on low embankments. Much of the region's movement has traditionally been by boat, and the map reflects this, with watercourses often more prominent than roads.
Labutta was among the places hit hardest by Cyclone Nargis in 2008, and the surrounding villages have been rebuilt since. A Labutta map poster records the town as a small cluster of lines within a wider pattern of water and field, a fitting portrait of life in the low-lying delta.

Riverside town
The built-up area sits along a waterway, its short streets running back from the bank in a compact pattern toward the fields beyond.
Delta flatlands
With almost no relief, the landscape is defined by water and field boundaries, giving the poster a calm, even texture from edge to edge.
