Lalmonirhat Map Poster & Print
Lalmonirhat is the headquarters of a district in Rangpur Division, in the far north of Bangladesh close to the border with India. The land is flat, low and crossed by rivers, in the country between the Teesta and the Dharla. On a map, the town is a compact cluster of streets set among fields, ponds and small villages.
Above all, Lalmonirhat is a railway town. It is the headquarters of one of Bangladesh Railway's divisions, and the station, yards and staff colonies take up a noticeable share of the map, with tracks leaving in several directions. Around them, streets are short and irregular, and small ponds dot the residential areas in a pattern typical of northern Bangladesh.
Lalmonirhat is also known for a large airfield from the colonial period that was used during the Second World War and is now largely inactive. A Lalmonirhat map poster shows the town as it is: railway lines, winding lanes, water and open land. The restrained line suits the quiet character of the place.

Ponds and water
Small ponds and water bodies appear throughout the town and its outskirts. These scattered shapes add texture between the streets and farmland.
The old airfield
A long runway near the town is one of the largest straight shapes on the map, a reminder of the site's wartime role.
